LAS VEGAS, April 10, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- OWC®, a leading zero emissions Mac and PC technology company, is proud to announce that their extreme performance ThunderBlade™ was chosen to receive the 2019 BaM Award for the "Store" category. The BaM awards are presented annually by the IABM, the international trade association for suppliers of broadcast and media technology, and recognize innovative technology that delivers real business and creative benefits. The awards are independent, judged by 40+ non-affiliated subject experts, and are open to everyone exhibiting at the NAB Show Las Vegas.

"We are honored to have the ThunderBlade recognized with this BaM Award during the NAB Show," said Larry O'Connor. "We believe we have an incredibly talented team at OWC, and they have been devoted to developing the fastest and best product for users on creative teams to keep their content safely and quickly stored, saving time and money on their projects. To receive this recognition is a win for the entire team. We are grateful to the IABM for this acknowledgement."

For creative professionals and prosumers who work to capture and process 4K or 8K video, the newest ThunderBlade can be the difference between staying under budget and on-schedule on a project - or not. With dual Thunderbolt 3 ports users can daisy-chain up to five additional ThunderBlades, and by connecting more than one drive with SoftRAID, speeds can be increased up to 3800MB/s. The newest ThunderBlade can complete a 1TB content transfer in under four-and-a-half minutes.

OWC sends out heartfelt thanks to the IABM for their recognition of the ThunderBlade, and congratulates all of the finalists and winners in their respective BaM Awards categories. Attendees at the NAB Show in Las Vegas can see the ThunderBlade in action in Booth #C3647; other interested parties can find more information at OWC ThunderBlade.
